Why
Article 24 of the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Angola: all citizens have the right to live in a healthy and unpolluted environment†Why the State adopts since its Decree-Law No 4/09 of 18 May, measures necessary to protect the environment and national flora and fauna species throughout the national territory and to maintain the ecological balance.
The development of the Law can be classified in the following three groups:
- Control of emissions of dangerous substances.
- The prevention of contamination.
- The regulation associated with the water and soil..
Angolan normative
Currently in the Republic of Angola there are Presidential Decrees among other regulations affecting the Oil & Gas sector in general:
- Decreto Presidencial 261/11 “Regulamento sobre a qualidade da Aguaâ€.
- Decreto Presidencial 190/12 “Regulamento sobre Gestão de ResÃduosâ€.
- Decreto Executivo 97/14 “Gestão de descargas operacionaisâ€.
These regulations include not only the protection of the surface waters, but also the underground waters, and their relation with the spills of residual waters. They all typify in their basic and main articles the following:
Direct or indirect spillage of waste water containing dangerous substances is prohibited and it is necessary to establish appropriate protective measures to prevent direct and indirect spills of the same substances to the natural environment.

We carry out a planning of the interventions in a prioritized way in function of the logic of the project, importance and urgency
Intervention
Interviews that can be released from the Audit (all of them):
- There’s nothing to do
- Carry out the cleaning
- Repair of the infrastructure
- Environmental remediation
- Installation of the control system
Control
We generate an infrastructure management system with the possibility of generating periodic reports that help in making future maintenance decisions
